CENTRALISED ACTIONS

We are back once again with another Glossary of Terms post to help you on your project journey.

Here at Meraki, we want to make Erasmus+ projects accessible to everyone. We completely understand that some of the terminology can make developing a project seem daunting. That is why, we have created this series of blog posts that explain the terminology you need for your projects and make it all easy to grasp.

Every week we focus on one term and provide  explanations and examples to make preparing your Erasmus+ project far easier. In that way, you can concentrate on developing your fantastic idea into a solid proposal without needing to worry about technical terms.

Last week in our post  we looked at the term Dissemination. We talked about why it’s important and the best way to create a dissemination plan.Definitely go check it out and have a read if you haven’t done so already!

This Week´s Term is CENTRALISED ACTIONS

Have you ever heard of them? Do you know what centralised actions are?

Well, basically centralised actions are managed directly by the European Commission. They are an area of Erasmus+ funding that is managed at a European level by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) located in Brussels, Belgium.

These are larger strategic actions that are managed at a European level. The aim is to have projects which deal with specific issues on an EU level. For that reason, these projects are delivered in all participating countries with the Executive Agency being responsible for the complete life-cycle management of them.

In our blog post next week we will be looking at the other type of action which are called decentralised actions. This will clarify any doubts you might have and make the distinction between the two very clear.

We hope this has been useful for you!

Remember to follow our posts for our weekly Erasmus+ term.
