AGROSOCIAL

Agrosocial is an Erasmus+ initiative that aims to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities through the creation and development of organic urban gardens.

Our partners, TerraIdona and Meraki Projectes in Spain, and Coleitrim in Ireland, work together to meet the following key objectives:

       – LEARN Throughout the project, partners will identify and analyse inclusive practices in urban gardens. This includes data collection and direct observation of gardens in different communities, with the aim of creating a replicable model.

       – TRAIN: Training will be provided to both people with disabilities and garden coordinators. These trainings will address organic gardening techniques, methods of inclusion, and collaborative skills, thus enhancing opportunities for inclusion and self-management in these settings.

       – MULTIPLY: The results of the project will be shared across Europe, in order to broaden its impact. Manuals, practical guides, and educational videos will be developed and translated into several languages, including Spanish, English, and others according to local needs.

Agrosocial focuses on promoting sustainability through ecological and community-based practices that not only benefit the people involved, but also the environment. By the end of the project, we hope to have created a sustainable model that can be adopted by other communities in Europe and beyond.

At Meraki Projectes we contribute to the improvement of society through the design of projects in the educational, cultural and sporting fields.

Project financed with Erasmus+ funds (2023-2025).
