The Family Padel Tournament in Spain marks the grand finale of the Family Padel project. It’s a unique initiative that promotes health, social inclusion, and family bonding through padel. The tournament will take place from October 18th to 20th, 2024, at Espacio Pádel in Catarroja, Spain. It brings together all the participants who have dedicated themselves to this wonderful experience. It is the final opportunity to showcase everything learned over six months of training, international tournaments, and shared learning.
A Journey of Family, Sports, and Inclusion
The Family Padel project is part of the Erasmus+ Sports Program, aimed at promoting sports as a tool for social inclusion and equality of opportunity. Over the past six months, participants from Spain and Portugal have undergone training and enjoyed tournaments designed to enhance family relationships and improve fitness levels. Importantly, 50% of the participants come from disadvantaged backgrounds, making this event a true celebration of community and diversity.
One of the highlights of this project has been the unique collaboration between Espacio Pádel in Spain and Racketspro from Portugal, showcasing how sports can break barriers and create connections across borders. The journey began with an initial tournament in Portugal, followed by various intermediate events, leading us to this exciting final showdown in Spain.

The Power of Sports for Social Inclusion
Family sports are about more than just exercise—they help foster strong bonds, encourage teamwork, and build self-esteem among family members. Family Padel has served as a powerful tool to bring parents and children together while providing underprivileged families access to structured physical activity in a supportive environment. By involving entire families in sports, the project has promoted the integration of diverse backgrounds and empowered participants to feel connected, both to their local communities and the wider European community.
