In our second post of our Project Management Tools series we will be looking at Timelines.
In our previous post we discussed the work breakdown strucuture. If you missed it, go back and have a look! Once you have completed your work breakdown, it is time to think about Timelines.
Have you heard of Timelines or possibly even of a Gantt Chart?
It is a very useful tool for planning and scheduling projects. It helps you assess how long a project should take. It also enables you to determine all of the resources that you are going to need and also allows you to plan the order in which you will complete the tasks. What´s more, it is really useful for managing the dependencies between tasks- which tasks must be completed in order for another to begin or which tasks need to happen at the same time etc.
