Circus4All
Inclusive Circus: A Bridge Between Cultures and Abilities

Introduction
The Circus4All project was born in response to the growing levels of physical inactivity in Europe, a situation aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the barriers faced by underrepresented groups in accessing physical and cultural activities. The project harnesses the transformative power of social circus as an exceptionally inclusive tool to foster inclusion, promote physical activity, and build bridges between diverse communities in Galway (Ireland) and San Javier (Spain).
Circus arts are a non-competitive, collaborative, and accessible discipline that allows people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to participate and thrive. Circus4All builds on the strengths and experiences of three partner organizations to create an innovative program that not only enhances the physical and mental well-being of participants but also empowers trainers and creates a sustainable collaboration network to promote social change through art.
Objectives
To develop and implement high-quality, inclusive circus arts programs in Galway and San Javier, aimed at people with fewer opportunities.
To increase the capacity of circus trainers in inclusive techniques to work effectively with diverse groups, improving the quality and reach of the activities offered.
To create a sustainable collaboration network among the partner organizations to share best practices and foster innovation in the field of social circus.
To produce an accessible Didactic Guide and audiovisual pedagogical materials on inclusive circus arts practices, available in English and Spanish.
To foster long-term partnerships with local stakeholders and European networks to ensure the project's legacy and replicability.
To raise awareness about the benefits of circus activities for social inclusion, health, and well-being in local communities and at a European level.
