SustainEBuild

SustainEBuild is an Erasmus+ KA210 project bringing together vocational training centres from Spain and Belgium to tackle one of Europe’s biggest challenges—making our buildings more energy efficient and sustainable. With buildings responsible for nearly 40% of energy use in the EU, the need for change is urgent.

Through this innovative partnership, students will not only learn about eco-responsibility, new technologies, and sustainable construction practices—they’ll put them into practice. Together, we’ll:

  1. Create modern educational materials on building renovation and energy efficiency,
  2. Train students through hands-on experiences with real building upgrades,
  3. Renovate a real building, transforming it into an energy-efficient model,
  4. Foster transnational collaboration to share best practices and build a greener, more skilled workforce.

The project is our response to climate change, energy poverty, and rising fuel costs, helping prepare the next generation of professionals to lead the green transition—locally and across Europe. By equipping vocational education and training students with in-demand skills in sustainable construction, energy efficiency, and modern technologies , we’re ensuring they’re ready to meet the evolving needs of the labour market and contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable built environment.
